Take Me Away

I don’t want to talk about it.

I just want you to put me over

your shoulder, help me run

from the noise to where snow

is deep on all sides, and trees

whisper pure, white magic.

Where my face can open

again like the moon. Where

ghosts and elk will comfort us

when we are cold.
