Sense Of Balance

I’m staring straight at your web

of chaos and through, to where

you are, a tangled, stumbling sun.

The world won’t be around

much longer, so we can’t wait

for a time to love – it must be now.

Life won’t ever be something perfect,

but we can balance it on our shoulders,

and close doors when we need to.

We can tell all we have done, or we can

just be quiet and smile, and kiss each other

into a place where we belong.
