365 Poems/98 Changes (Rough First Draft)

I have realised

that all things change,

but something’s are worth

hanging onto, even though

they won’t be perfect all the time.

I see you more clearly,

now that I’ve blinked and looked again.

I want to catch you

when you’re off guard,

tell you that you’re beautiful,

have you believe me and smile.

If you wanted to live on a bookcase,

and be fed sugar water, I’d do that for you.

I’d construct a rota, so I’d never forget

when you needed me. I’d be there

with a pipette and patience.
